Nebraska football has agreed to a non-conference, home-and-home pair of games with Notre Dame in 2032 and 2033. The Cornhuskers will host the Fighting Irish on Oct. 30, 2032, then travel to South Bend on Oct. 29, 2033.
The teams are matching up for the first time since the 2000 and 2001 seasons, when the top-ranked Huskers won in overtime in South Bend in 2000, then dominated the Irish in Lincoln in 2001. Those games were the first meetings of the two schools since the 1973 Orange Bowl, a 40-6 Nebraska win in Bob Devaney’s last game. Before that, the teams hadn’t squared off since 1948.
Nebraska now has nine scheduled non-conference games against Power Four opponents between 2028 and 2035.
