After much offseason worry, Nebraska’s NCAA record sellout streak for consecutive home games lives another week. Saturday’s Nebraska/Ohio matchup at Memorial Stadium will be the 411th consecutive sellout, an ongoing NCAA record dating back to Nov. 3, 1962, Bob Devaney’s first season.

On-field struggles and financial pressures threatened the streak, as tickets remained unsold through the month of August. Steep discounts and concessions vouchers were offered to incentivize Husker fans to buy the remaining tickets and continue the streak. A report by WOWT in Omaha said that nearly 8,000 tickets for each home game remained unsold early in August.

But on Tuesday, the athletic department announced that all tickets were sold for the Ohio game, extending the streak another week. Tickets remain available from the NU athletic department ticket office for the remaining six home games.
