A semi vehicle transport trailer caught fire Thursday afternoon near 185th and Highway 2. The driver noticed smoke coming from under the trailer and pulled over. The driver saw flames that quickly spread to the vehicles.
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office was called to the area around 12:45 p.m.
The semi was hauling 9 vehicles. Five were completely destroyed along with the semi. The condition of the four remaining vehicles is not known. The fire caused an estimated $300,000 in damage. The vehicles were on their way to the Sid Dillon dealership.
No one was hurt.
