A 16 year old girl is recovering after being stabbed in the arm near the bus stop at 11th and N Street around 4:30 yesterday afternoon. Lincoln police say two men got into a fight when a woman in her 20’s became upset and yelled a racial slur towards the men.
“The comment upset the victim who confronted the suspect at which time a physical altercation between the two occurred,” says LPD Captain Todd Kocian.
He says during that altercation the teenager was stabbed with an unknown bladed instrument and was treated at a hospital for her injuries. The suspect was last seen leaving southbound on foot.
The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
