With potential for an increase in COVID-19 infections this fall and winter, the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department will host onsite booster dose clinics for residents aged 12 and older in October. The new boosters target the Omicron strain, which initial COVID-19 jabs and boosters did not.

The clinics will be at 3131 O St at the following dates and times:

  • Friday, October 7, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Friday, October 14, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Monday, October 17, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Friday, October 21, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Monday, October 24, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Friday, October 28, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Monday, October 31, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The health department encourages residents to make appointments, which can be done online or by calling 402-441-4200. The vaccination process usually takes under an hour. Those above 12 years old can receive their new booster, produced by Pfizer, at least two months after their last booster or since completing the primary series. Those 18 and older are eligible to choose between Pfizer and Moderna’s updated booster, regardless of what they had previously.
