Lincoln Police have arrested a 61 year old man in connection with the stabbing death of a 36 year old woman at a mobile home park near West Allison Court and West Fairfield Street around 11:30 Monday night.
Assistant Police Chief Jason Stille says Charles Alexander was arrested around 10:00 Wednesday morning. “We sought an arrest warrant for him and we began looking in places we thought he may be,” Stille says. “An officer from the Southwest Team was driving by 11th and Lincoln Mall and noticed him and he was taken into custody without incident.
Stille says Alexander and the woman knew each other, but it’s not known what led to the violence. The victim was found with stab wounds and LPD officers provided aid until LFR arrived. She was taken to the hospital where she died.
