Lincoln Police were on patrol near Touzalin Avenue and Fremont Street at 1:18 Friday morning when they saw 32 year old Lars Craig driving a vehicle. Officers knew that Craig’s license was suspended and they did a traffic stop at 60th and Havelock Avenue.
Due to Craig having a prior charge of driving under suspension, officers towed his vehicle. During the inventory search, officers found 32.6 grams of marijuana and a Rock Island Armor M1911 .45 handgun. Officers learned the gun had been reported stolen out of Beatrice.
Craig was booked for possession of a stolen firearm, a felony, carrying a concealed weapon, a felony, possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor and driving under suspension, also a misdemeanor.
