Lincoln Police were called to the area of 77th and South around 2:00 Thursday morning on a report of shots fired.   When officers arrived they spoke to a 58 year old woman who said she awoke to the sounds of her dog barking.

She says she saw a man attaching her trailer with an ATV on it to the bumper of a white pickup. Captain Todd Kocian says she yelled at the man and fired several warning shots into the ground. “The male quickly fled in the pickup causing the trailer and ATV to become dislodged.  Officers recovered four spent 9mm shell casings.”

Kocian says the 58 year old woman was cited and released for unlawful discharge of a firearm, a violation if city ordinance.
