A hit & run accident about 3 am at 48th and Cornhusker sent 2-people to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
LPD Captain Max Hubka told KLIN News an Eastbound vehicle was struck by a Westbound vehicle that was turning South on to 48th Street. The Eastbound vehicle ended up in the median with the 2 injured people inside.
The other vehicle ended up under the railroad overpass bridge on 48th Street just South of the intersection.
Captain Hubka said officers believe there were 2 people in that vehicle that fled the scene on foot. Witnesses provided additional information and investigators believe they will be able to locate those that fled.
The investigation continues.
