Last Saturday night Lancaster County deputies arrested 40 year old Thomas Angell in connection with the robbery and assault of a woman he gave a ride to.   As deputies served a warrant at a garage Angell rents in southwest Lincoln they found thousands of dollars worth of property that had been reported stolen.

Sheriff Terry Wagner says deputies found a motorcycle, two trailers, a generator and a Department of Corrections winter jacket with a badge on it.  Wagner says one of the trailers had been stolen from a bar. The total amount of the recovered property is $8,000.

Wagner says Angell and another man are accused of robbing and assaulting a 33-year-old Beatrice woman as they drove from Beatrice to Lincoln so she could purchase a vehicle.  She was forced out of the car near Roca and beaten and robbed.

Wagner says they know who the second suspect is, but they have not been able to locate the 31 year old Beatrice man.
