Brick With Message Thrown At Nebraska GOP Headquarters, 2nd Vandalism In a Week

By News Apr 24, 2020 | 1:47 PM

Lincoln Police are investigating vandalism at the Nebraska GOP Headquarters, the second incident this week.

Officer Erin Spilker said that around 6 AM Friday, a passerby reported that a window had been broken at the Nebraska Republic Party Building at 1610 N Street.

When officers arrived they found a double-paned glass window completely shattered with a brick on the ground nearby.

“Words were written on the brick that indicate the vandalism was targeted at the Nebraska Republican Party,” said Spilker.

Police will be canvassing the area and searching for any video surveillance.

The building was the target of another vandalism that was reported around 1 PM Wednesday where a rock was thrown.

Anyone who may have more information on either incident is encouraged to call police.
