A man is behind bars after Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner says he led a deputy on a brief chase late Thursday night.  Wagner says the deputy saw a vehicle with no license plate around 11:00 p.m. near Highway 34 and Fallbrook and tried to pull it over.

“The vehicle failed to yield to emergency lights and a pursuit was initiated,” Wagner says.  “It was terminated pretty quickly when it went into a residential area.”

Wagner says a short time later the vehicle broke down and was found at NW 48th and West Fletcher.  He says 24 year old Kaleb Overstreet was found in the vehicle and determined to be the driver.

He was booked for fleeing to avoid arrest and an outstanding Lancaster County warrant. He was also cited for reckless driving, no valid registration or insurance and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
