A bicyclist ended up in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle shortly after 9 last night at 27th and Cornhusker. “It was in the middle of pouring rain, young man on a bicycle. No lights,” says LPD Sergeant Andrew Vocasek.
LPD says the southbound vehicle struck the westbound bicyclist in the intersection. He was taken to a Lincoln hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say there were conflicting reports from witnesses as to what color the lights were. No citations have been issued.
