Union Bank & Trust has announce the 58 nonprofit finalists hoping to secure a share in the bank’s $1 million giveaway. An online public vote from August 12-26 will determine which 10 nonprofit recipients will receive $100,000 each through the Big Give campaign.
“We have been so impressed with the volume, quality, and content of all the applications,” says Union Bank & Trust’s President and CEO Angie Muhleisen. “The applications we received underscore how much our local nonprofits truly care for and uplift the people in our community. We are looking forward to seeing which initiatives the public decides will achieve the most positive impact in Lincoln and Lancaster County.”
The Big Give finalists can now be seen at ubt.com/give, and have been separated into size categories, small, medium, and large, based on their annual operating budgets. Beginning August 12 each voter will be allowed to cast one vote in each of the three size categories. To make the most impact in multiple areas of need, four small nonprofits, three medium nonprofits, and three large nonprofits will each receive $100,000 to use toward the initiatives they proposed in their applications.
Winners will be announced once per day on UBT’s social media channels from September 6-16.
