Authorities have arrested a 22-year Lincoln man in connection with the murder of Benjamin Case late Tuesday night.

At about 9:15 pm Saturday, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office along with Lincoln Police and the Nebraska State Patrol arrested Taban Rik.  Rik was taken into custody without incident in the parking lot of a vape shop in the 2600 Block of O Street.

Rik has been jailed and charged with 1st degree murder, use of a firearm to commit a felony, possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, and terroristic threats.

According to a Sunday news release from the Sheriff’s office, the investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office at 402-441-6500
