Nebraska Republican Representative Don Bacon on Wednesday announced he will be joining the bill, “Access to Safe Contraception Act of 2022”, as soon as it is introduced by Representative Stephanie Bice of Oklahoma.
“Women and men deserve to have the peace of mind in knowing they have access to safe FDA-approved contraception,” said Bacon. “This law does that by preventing any state from banning FDA-approved contraception for use as contraception.”
The bill also preserves conscience protections for healthcare providers and maintains state regulation of medicine and pharmacy practice.
