The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for far Southeast Nebraska extending into Northeast Kansas and Northwest Missouri.
High temperatures combined with high humidity will cause the heat index to move well above 100 degrees.
The rest of the week will see plenty of hot and dry weather.
Periodic thunderstorms chances, mainly during the overnight hours, will return Thursday night through Monday night.
