A terrifying ordeal for two men in Bennet around 1 o’clock Sunday morning at 200 Monroe in Bennet.
Sheriff Terry Wagner says a 43 year old man and his 26 year old friend were inside a house when someone they didn’t know was knocking on the front door. The two asked who the person was and what they wanted. A man identified himself as “John” and then kicked in the front door.
As he was running through the house, “John” fired one shot that nearly missed the 43 year old victim. He then ran out the back door.
LSO located one round in the wall of the home. They are reviewing security video to identify the suspect.
The investigation continues.
