Lincoln Police were called to 36th and Northwest Nutwood Court around 8:45 p.m. on Friday, May 7th to investigate a disturbance. The situation was resolved and no arrests or citations were issued.

Police returned to the home around 9:14 p.m. after a man called to report that a neighbor, 45 year old Obiomachuchuka Njokanma walked out of her home with a .223 rifle. She fired two shots in the air and then fired 2-4 shots at the victim’s feet. The victim fled to his residence. Officers recovered a black DPMS MOD A-15 .223 rifle and a magazine containing 21 .223 rounds, as well as .223 casings outside the residence.

Niokanma was prohibited from possessing a firearm due to previous felony convictions. Njokanma was booked for discharge of a firearm at a person, use of a weapon to commit a felony and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.
