Lincoln Fire and Rescue Crews responded to a garage fire near 24th and L Street around 2:30 Thursday morning. “Lincoln Fire arrived to a major fire from two adjacent garages,” says LFR’s Nancy Crist. “The damage to those structures is $20,000.”
She says an electrical issue caused the fire. “There were two houses in the very near vicinity to the detached garages and Lincoln Fire was able to get there in a timely manner and protect those homes from catching fire,” Crist says.
She say residents in both homes were evacuated, but no one was hurt.
