Newly sworn-in Congressman Mike Flood met with other members of the Nebraska delegation during the Nebraska Breakfast Wednesday morning in Washington D.C.

“We are thrilled to welcome our new colleague to the delegation. The Nebraska delegation has a long history of working together on behalf of Nebraskans, and we look forward to working with Mike on issues important to the state,” said Senators Deb Fischer and Ben Sasse and Representatives Don Bacon and Adrian Smith.

Congressman Flood stated, “I am honored and excited to join my colleagues at this week’s Nebraska Breakfast. For close to 80 years, this tradition has reflected the way Nebraskans get things done—by coming together and solving problems as neighbors,” said Rep. Flood. “Although I have only been in Washington for a short time, I appreciate that one of my first events as a member of Congress featured my constituents from back home. I’m excited to start working closely with my colleagues in Nebraska’s federal delegation, and to help carry on this wonderful tradition.”

The Nebraska Breakfast dates back to 1943. It is held monthly where members gather and meet with Nebraskans visiting Washington D.C.

Flood was sworn in as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives Tuesday evening.
