A gunshot rang out around 10:50 Tuesday morning in the 6600 block of Platte Avenue.
A caller to police reported hearing a man and a woman arguing. That was followed by one gunshot.
Officers spoke with the 43 year old victim who said she and 37 year old Michael Orso were arguing over the removal of a window air conditioner.
Police say the victim grabbed a small rod used to hold up the window shade and swung it at Orso to prevent him from taking the air conditioner. Orson then pulled out a handgun and fired one round into the yard. A .40 caliber casing was found on the ground near where the air condition had been.
A .40 caliber handgun was found during a search of the home. Orso denied any wrongdoing but was booked into jail for terroristic threats and for use of a weapon to commit a felony.
