A resident living in the 3500 block of Baldwin called Lincoln Police around 12:45 a.m. Sunday morning to report a disturbance. The resident said a man had been knocking at the door reporting they had been in an accident.
Arriving officers soon found a light pole on North 35th that had been struck by a vehicle. Officers were able to follow a trail of vehicle fluid an located a damaged and disabled vehicle parked on Baldwin.
The driver, 25 year old Tilian Tilan was seen asleep in the driver’s seat. Officers woke him up and took him into custody. A DUI investigation followed and a loaded 9mm handgun was found in Tilian’s pocket.
Tilian was cited for DUI and booked for carrying a concealed weapon.
