LFR and LPD crews were kept busy Thursday evening responding to stalled vehicles due to rising water from the heavy rain.
LFR Captain Nancy Crist says, “We had numerous water rescue calls. What those turned out to be were vehicles that were stuck and couldn’t move. The water was 18′ to 2 feet on their vehicles. There were no rescues and we did not deploy our water rescue folks.”
27th and Superior was shut down for about a half hour.
48th from Cornhusker to Fremont was shut down for about two hours.
Several vehicles stalled in the high water by the railroad tracks. No one was hurt.
