Lincoln Police were called to a home in the 7700 block of Phares Drive Wednesday moning to investigate a theft.
The homeowners told police they forgot to close their garage door before going to bed the night before. They woke up and found their vehicle had been rummaged through and items were missing from the garage.
Those items include a black Glock .45 caliber handgun, two magazines, a holster, ammunition, and sunglasses. The total loss is estimated at $1,095.
Lincoln Police remind residents to make sure you overhead garage door is shut before going to bed at night to help prevent these crimes.
