The USA Roller Skating Championships return to Lincoln on July 2. It’s the first time Lincoln has hosted the event in a couple of years. It will be held at the Speedway Sports Complex through July 24.
“It’s 22 days of inline roller skating, figure skating, rink skating, rink hockey, roller derby,” says Jeff Maul, executive director of the Lincoln Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
He says 4,000 athletes, coaches and officials will be in Lincoln for event. Among the athletes who will be competing is Erin Jackson, who won the gold medal in the 500 meter speed skating event at the 2022 Beijing Olympic Games.
On July 17th Jackson will compete against some of the world’s best women inline speed skaters.
