Fireworks damaged a townhouse around 9 Wednesday night near 7th and Benton Streets.
Lincoln Police report neighbors heard a loud bang and then saw smoke and flames coming from a unit that sits in the middle of a row of town homes.
An LFR fire investigator determined the cause was fireworks.
There is extensive damage to the unit that was struck by fireworks and smoke and water damage to next door units. Several residents had to temporarily evacuate and others will be displaced for quite some time.
No one was hurt and the investigation continues.
