A Lincoln man wanted on a drugs and weapons warrant was arrested Wednesday afternoon near 1st and Cornhusker Highway. Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner says they received information that Andrew Burnham was in a mobile home in that area.

“We activated our Tactical Response Unit to serve that warrant.  We deployed our Emergency Rescue Vehicle and when it rolled up in front of the house, Burnham surrendered and came out peacefully.”

Lincoln Police say on June 17th their Narcotics Unit and SWAT Team served a warrant at Magnuson Hotel room where Burham was believed to be staying.   Captain Todd Kocian says Burnham was not located at that time but officers located 14.2 grams of methamphetamine, $3,740 in cash and 43.3 grams of marijuana and various narcotics paraphernalia.   Alsofound in the room was an AR -15 style rifle that had been reported stolen in from North Carolina  in 2010.

Burnham was arrested on several drug and weapons charges.
