After another scorching hot day, a cold front will arrive Tuesday night and that could produce some severe thunderstorms in Lincoln and across eastern Nebraska.
“Hail and winds will be the main threat” says National Weather Service meteorologist Clint Aegerter. “Can’t completely rule out a tornado, but that threat looks to be pretty low.
He says along with large hail winds of 60-70 miles per hour are possible. He says the storms will be possible after 7:00 in the Lincoln area. High temperatures drop back to the upper 80’s on Wednesday before the heat gets turned back up again. Triple digit temperatures are possible this weekend.
