Lincoln-Based Startup Accelerator To Expand Statewide

By Tom Stanton Jun 9, 2022 | 3:37 PM

At a ceremony in Lincoln on Tuesday a Lincoln based startup accelerator announced plans to expand statewide with a new anchor in Omaha.

NMotion, powered by gener8tor, announced $3.7 million in new investments that will start and grow 24 Nebraska startups over the next two years, expand the accelerator’s programming to serve startups statewide and create an Omaha location.

NMotion will provide investment, support, mentorship and access to in-state and out-of-state capital to early-stage small businesses and startups throughout Nebraska. Startups and small businesses that successfully compete for a place in the accelerator programs will each receive $100,000 investments from NMotion through gener8tor’s venture fund and Invest Nebraska.

“As a hub of the Silicon Prairie, Lincoln celebrates NMotion and the work they have done locally, and now will do statewide to support entrepreneurs and accelerate economic opportunity,” says Lincoln Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird.   “The 24 companies that will launch and grow as a result of today’s multi-million-dollar investment will create new jobs and demonstrate the abundant ingenuity and innovation we are cultivating here.”
