A 48 year old man was arrested Tuesday after LPD says he threatened a family with a knife as they walked through the Antelope Creek Recreation Area around 5:15 Tuesday evening.
A 36-year-old man told police that he had been walking with his three children, ages 5,6 and 12, under the bridge at 21st and O Streets when they were confronted by Randal Gordon. The victim reported that Gordon was approximately 15 yards away, armed with a knife, and yelling at the man and his children.
They left the area and called the police. Sergeant Chris Vollmer says officers arrived and found Gordon under the bridge with a folding knife.
He says officers believed that Gordon was highly intoxicated. Gordon was booked for terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
