A 20 year old woman and her passenger escaped serious injury following a rollover crash around 4:15 Sunday morning near 27th and Vine.
“Preliminary investigation indicates a southbound SB vehicle on 27th street was changing lanes after passing a second uninvolved vehicle. During the lane change, the southbound vehicle left the roadway and collided with a utility pole, fire hydrant, and rolled,” says Sergeant Chris Vollmer.
He says the driver and passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The driver was cited for careless driving and no seatbelt. The SUV was totaled and damage to the pole and hydrant was estimated at $3,500.
