Lincoln Police say a missing doorknob led to the arrests of two people just after midnight Sunday in the 500 block of south 27th Street. Sergeant Chris Vollmer says the 70 year old property owner was notified by the contractor that the doorknob was missing from the front door of a vacant apartment.
“The victim traveled to the building to check on the apartment and found it occupied by 25 year old Shavon West and 39 year old Jeremiah Croghan.” Both were ordered to leave by the property owner.
“The victim reports West raised a hatchet style axe over their head, placing the victim in fear. The victim fled the apartment and contacted police,” Vollmer says.
West and Croghan were cited for trespassing. West was booked for Terroristic Threats.
