Nebraska football had to wait all day Saturday before finally hearing a Husker called late in the seventh round of the NFL Draft.
The Green Bay Packers selected wide receiver Samori Toure with the 258th overall pick. Toure joins Cam Jurgens and Cam Taylor-Britt as 2022 draft selections out of Nebraska.
In his lone season as a Husker, Toure caught 46 passes for 898 yards and five touchdowns over 12 games. He is the first NU receiver to be drafted since Kenny Bell went in the fifth round in 2015.
Several Huskers were not selected over the three day draft, but are expected to join clubs as undrafted free agents.
