Initially a long-shot candidate for the GOP nomination for Governor, Brett Lindstrom has evidently closed the gap and Lindstrom is now considered to be a top contender along with Charles W. Herbster and Jim Pillen.
Aaron Sanderford reports in the Nebraska Examiner Lindstrom has been attacked in recent mailings funded by the Herbster campaign and an organization backed and partly funded by Governor Pete Ricketts, who has endorsed Jim Pillen.
Lindstrom has picked up several endorsements including Omaha mayor Jean Stothert, former Nebraska and US representative Brad Ashford, who recently died and others.
