April 15 is the last day to register for this year’s Cornhusker State Games at the lowest possible price. Nebraska Sports Council Executive Director Dave Mlnarik  says after April 15 you’ll probably pay an extra five dollars per person.

“Each sport, and we have more than 70 sports, has it’s own registration fee and the fees roughly relate to the cost of the competition, so the average fee for most sports is around $28,” Mlnarik says.

Mlnarik says they are cautiously optimistic that they will have around 11,000 participants this year.  The opening ceremonies for the games will be held July 15 at Seacrest Field in Lincoln. You can click here for more information and to register for the games.
