Twenty days and counting until the Lincoln Marathon and Lincoln Police want residents to plan accordingly.
The marathon will start at 6:55 a.m. on May 1st and should wrap up around 1:30 p.m. More than 10,000 runners are expected to participate.
There will be a number of street closures that include South 48th from Highway 2 and Calvert Street. The area will be closed in both directions from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. There will be no eastbound traffic on Normal Boulevard between South 56th and Holmes North Shore Road from 8 a.m. until noon.
Drivers should plan accordingly and allow for extra travel time.
