Lincoln Police served a search warrant at a home near South 21st and N street at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 6th. This was part of an ongoing investigation and due to the possibility of weapons being present in the home, the Lincoln Police Department SWAT team assisted.
During a search of the home, investigators located 7.6 pounds of marijuana, 3 grams of cocaine, two handguns, and over $11,000 in U.S. currency.
Detrick Smith, age 29, was taken into custody and booked for delivery of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school, possession of a firearm during a drug violation, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and possession of money while violating a drug law.
