Very high rangeland fire danger is forecast this afternoon across much of eastern Nebraska and west central Iowa.
Very strong northwest winds are forecast on Wednesday and Thursday. Peak gusts during the afternoon could reach 40 to 55 mph both days. Very high fire danger will also occur across much of the region Wednesday.
