A Lincoln Police officer on patrol around 4:15 a.m. Sunday, April 3rd noticed someone leaving SJS Smoke Shop at 31st and O Street.
The officer then saw a window at the business had been damaged. The officer tried to stop the person seen leaving the smoke shop but that person and another ran from the officers.
After a short foot chase, two juveniles, ages 15 and 16, were taken into custody. Both were referred for burglary.
Evidence of the burglary was located nearby. Damage to the building is estimated at $3,500 and an unknown amount of merchandise was recovered.
