LPD Cites Two People In Same Vehicle For DUI

By Tom Stanton Mar 28, 2022 | 10:21 AM

Lincoln Police spotted a vehicle in the downtown area late Sunday night that was not signaling turns.  “As officers maneuvered to get behind the vehicle, they saw that it stopped and the driver moved to the passenger seat and the passenger moved over to the driver’s seat,” says LPD Captain Max Hubka.

He tells KLIN News the situation turned out to be a two-for-one.  “DUI investigations were simultaneously carried out and both individuals ended up being cited for driving under the influence of alcohol.”

Hubka says a 40-year old woman tested at 1.45 and the 41-year old man refused a breath test, but was jailed because he had a 15-year revoked license.
