State Senator and Republican Gubernatorial candidate Brett Lindstrom saw one of his major legislative priorities fall to a Friday filibuster.
Major property and income tax cuts fell 1-vote short to end the filibuster according to Paul Hammel’s report in the Nebraska Examiner.
Lindstrom indicates he will work to attach provisions of LB 825 onto another bill dealing with turnback taxes which support sports arenas.
Income and property tax credits proposed in LB 939 had opposition from some senators who believe is doesn’t help middle-class taxpayers but does help the rich.
