Get the snow blower gassed up and and the snow shovel out of storage. It will be needed this week.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Cling Aegerter tells KLIN News the snow we received Sunday night into Monday morning won’t be with us long but we need to get ready for round two.
Aegerter says, “The next system moving in will probably get into Lincoln late Wednesday afternoon or evening. Then it will be a prolonged period of snow. At this point it doesn’t look there will be really, really heavy snow for any particular time. Maybe a couple of points in there but basically a steady snow through Thursday and possibly into Friday morning where there could be some lingering flurries.”
There are still some questions as to how this storm will track but it looks like Lincoln will see anywhere from 3 to 6 inches of snow. Aegerter says this doesn’t look to be a wet, heavy snowfall and no icing is expected.
This snow could impact travel starting Wednesday afternoon through Thursday night. Be prepared for slick roads and allow plenty of time to reach your destination.
