..WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON TODAY…

The region is experiencing dangerously cold wind chills this morning. Wind chills will fall to 25 to 35 below zero, increasing the risk for cold related illness. The coldest values are anticipated between 3 AM and 9 AM Wednesday. Take appropriate precautions to avoid frostbite or hypothermia.

An arctic air mass will remain entrenched over the region into Friday. Thus hazardous wind chills will remain a concern, particularly during the overnight and morning hours on Thursday and Friday.

Another storm system should bring light snowfall to the region Thursday. Snow amounts of a trace to 1 inch are expected, though local amounts up to 2 inches cannot be ruled out.
