Lincoln Police are investigating a burglary at a Jimmy John’s restaurant near 70th and A streets early Friday morning. LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says officers were sent to the sandwich shop around 4:40 a.m. after an alarm company reported motion inside the business.
“Officers arrived and found the west glass door had been broken with a brick, causing an estimated $500 in damage. A money bag and cash were found on the floor,” Thomas says. Investigators initially estimate nearly $900 dollars was stolen.
Police describe the suspect as a man wearing a black hoodie, black jeans and black shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
