Lincoln Police say around 11:30 Friday morning, investigators did not find anything of evidentiary value in the basement of a home near 68th and Burlington Avenue. LPD Lincoln Police and Nebraska State Patrol investigators returned to the home Friday morning after spending 12 hours at the home Thursday searching for possible remains connected to the  2000 disappearance of Gina Boss.

LPD says CSI technicians are finishing clean up and will then leave the property. LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says they worked with an excavation team to break through a concrete floor in the basement before digging underneath the surface.

Lincoln Police say they received a tip several months ago about the possibility of remains in this location in connection to Bos’ disappearance. The previous owner of the home, who has since died, had a known connection to Duggan’s Pub and Bos, leading to the decision to search the underneath the concrete floor in a space approximately 10×13 feet after preliminary tests came back inconclusive.

Thomas says the homeowner has been staying at a hotel during the investigation. Thomas says police plan to have the concrete filled back in and restore the property at no cost to the homeowner. LPD says Gina’s family is aware of the developments.
