Lincoln will offer free bus rides and bike-share passes on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, giving residents additional transportation options to reach the polls.

StarTran will waive fares for bus and paratransit services. Riders can use the RideLNK app for trip planning and live bus tracking, with additional information available at lincoln.ne.gov/transit.

BikeLNK riders can receive a free Capital Cruiser pass by downloading the BCycle app and entering promo code VOTE26 when purchasing the pass. It provides unlimited one-hour trips within 24 hours of signing up.

BikeLNK City Manager Hunter Arias said the offers are intended to help voters reach their polling places. “Getting to the polls can look different for everyone, and we want to make that trip easier,” Arias said in a news release. “By offering free bus rides and bike share on Election Day, we’re giving people more transportation options to travel to the polls.”

A bike station map is available at BikeLNK.com and through the BCycle app. BikeLNK is owned by the city and operated by ROAM Share.

Voters can check their polling locations through the Nebraska Secretary of State’s VoterCheck website.
