The Lincoln Children’s Museum and Linked2Literacy are teaming up to celebrate three years of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Lancaster County. The event will be held Wednesday from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Lincoln Children’s Museum near 14th and ‘P’ Street.

Museum admission will be free for the first hour and families can also decorate cookies and take home a free book. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library provides enrolled children from birth through age five with a free, age-appropriate book each month.

Linked2Literacy is the local program partner for Lancaster County. Organizers say the program has helped put books into the hands of local children while encouraging reading, imagination and learning.

“Linked2Literacy and the Lincoln Children’s Museum share a belief that every child deserves opportunities to learn and grow,” says Ellie Charter, Chief Marketing Officer of the Lincoln Children’s Museum. “Whether it’s access to books at home or learning through play at the museum, we want children in our community to have experiences that spark curiosity and build a love of learning.”
