Lincoln Police have arrested a second suspect in a reported robbery that left a 47-year-old Lincoln man with several cuts to his arms and back early Wednesday.

Damien Watkins, LSO Mugshot
Investigators contacted 46-year-old Damien Watkins around 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, and took him to the Lancaster County Jail on allegations of second-degree assault, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person and robbery.
Police said Thursday that investigators determined the weapon used was a 24-inch, single-edged silver weapon described as a sword. Investigators say the suspect disposed of it. It has not been located.
Officers initially responded to a report of a stabbing just before 1:30 a.m. Wednesday at a business near North 48th Street and Leighton Avenue. They determined the incident had occurred at a nearby apartment near North 44th Street and Huntington Avenue.
The victim told officers two men cut him with what he initially described as a machete or large knife and stole his laptop, wallet, cash and cell phone.
Police spokeswoman Erika Thomas said Wednesday that the victim and suspects appeared to be acquaintances.
“Sounds like they had hung out a little bit but didn’t know each other well,” Thomas said.

Bryan Glaze, LSO Mugshot
Officers previously arrested 48-year-old Bryan Glaze of Lincoln outside the apartment complex without incident on allegations of robbery and tampering with evidence.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information can call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
