Powerball is teaming up with the NFL for a new weekly lottery game that lets players pick their favorite teams. Powerball Xs & Os tickets go on sale in Nebraska and other participating states September 8, with the first drawing set for September 13.
Players choose eight NFL team logos from all 32 teams for a chance to win a rolling jackpot. Matching all eight teams wins the jackpot, while matching fewer teams can win cash prizes. Tickets cost five dollars, and drawings will be held Sundays at 9:00 p.m.
The results are randomly drawn and are not based on the outcome of NFL games. The game also includes Powerball’s first national promotional prize program. Players can enter eligible winning or non-winning tickets online at PowerballOfficial.com to earn points for a chance at prizes including a trip to Super Bowl 61, NFL Shop gift cards and other NFL experiences.
Nebraska is among 24 lottery jurisdictions participating at launch, with additional states expected to join later this year.
